About the Role
Atera is building the next generation of AI-powered IT management solutions, trusted by thousands of IT professionals worldwide. We’re looking for a Senior Marketing & Brand Designer to elevate, define, and protect Atera’s visual identity across every touchpoint. This role calls for a designer with exceptional creative craft, deep brand expertise, and a strategic mindset—someone who can balance hands-on design excellence with thoughtful creative direction.
You’ll spend most of your time designing—crafting campaigns, refining layouts, and building brand assets —while also helping guide the visual standards that keep our brand strong and cohesive. You’ll develop and maintain Atera’s brand guidelines, ensure consistency across teams and channels, and serve as a gatekeeper of our visual identity. As a senior member of the Marketing Design team, you’ll support and collaborate with other designers, ensuring alignment between our creative practices - video, web, marketing, and internal employee experience - under one unified brand vision. You understand brand strategy, know how to ask the right questions, and can confidently execute projects from start to finish while communicating clearly with stakeholders to explain design decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Design high-quality creative assets for marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives - with meticulous attention to detail, typography, and layout.
 - Define, develop, and maintain Atera’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and clarity across all marketing, web, and video outputs.
 - Act as the guardian of Atera’s brand identity, upholding design quality and coherence across every channel and format.
 - Collaborate closely with designers across different disciplines (web, marketing, and video), providing feedback, guidance, and alignment.
 - Partner with marketing, content, and product stakeholders to ensure visual design aligns with brand strategy and business goals.
 - Translate abstract ideas and strategic insights into apparent, compelling visual executions.
 - Communicate design decisions clearly and confidently to stakeholders, explaining the “why” behind your creative choices.
 - Oversee projects from concept to delivery, managing multiple priorities with structure, clarity, and accountability.
 - Conduct brand and design audits to identify opportunities for refinement and innovation.
 - Leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows, enhance creative output, and explore new design possibilities.
 - Stay ahead of design trends, brand systems, and emerging technologies to keep Atera’s visual identity relevant and inspiring.
 
 About You
- Experienced Designer: 6–7+ years of professional experience in brand, marketing, or creative design roles.
 - Design Master: Exceptional eye for detail, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy. You take pride in hands-on design work and deliver pixel-perfect results.
 - Brand Builder: You’ve developed or evolved brand guidelines before, ensuring consistency across teams and mediums.
 - Strategic Yet Practical: You think conceptually and strategically, but your true strength lies in executing ideas through excellent design.
 - Collaborative Partner: You work closely with peers across web, video, and marketing, aligning creative outputs under one cohesive brand identity.
 - AI-Curious and Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable experimenting with AI design tools to enhance workflows and creativity.
 - Animation-Friendly: Basic knowledge of motion design or animation is a strong plus — you understand how movement brings brand storytelling to life.
 - Effective Communicator: You can articulate design decisions clearly to both creative peers and non-design stakeholders, connecting visual choices to business impact.
 - Proactive & Organized: You manage multiple projects efficiently, balancing creativity with structure and clarity.
 - Curious & Evolving: You stay informed about design trends, technologies, and tools, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Branding, or a related field.
 - Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining brand systems and guidelines.
 - Advanced proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects a plus).
 - Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative teams (web, marketing, and video).
 - Understanding of motion, digital, and print design principles.
 - Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
